European Most Influential Female CEOs in Green Startups

There is a gender gap in Startup Funding  (Forbes, 2020). This is an editorial of Forbes magazine that gave me the first idea of this list.

This list includes women who have been able to generate a green solutions and use innovation to create their own business.

All the entrepreneurs gathered in this list are from Europe.


Arancha Yáñez

Arancha Yáñez is the founder of Feltwood. She works in Zaragoza, Spain.

She is a designer who, after three years of studying, she found a green solution to develop technologies for producing ecological industrial materials.

These materials are composed of 100% vegetable fibers and are produced by using agricultural waste products.

Currently, the company where she is the CEO offers a valid alternative to plastic, wood and agglomerates for several applications. In addition, the products are recyclable and have a low carbon footprint.


Mette Lykke

Mette Lykke is the founder of Too Good To Go.

She was shocked when she found out that more than a third of all food produced in the world is wasted.

For this reason, she created an app that decreases food waste by selling food at discounted prices after working hours. The main business idea is a B2C marketplace for surplus food.

The app is currently operative in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Spain and Italy.


Mikaela Druckman

Mikaela Druckman is co-founder at Greyparrot.

Before founder Gryparrot, in 2017 she was awarded as one of the top female digital leaders in the UK, and in 2018 she received the “TopWomen50” award by WeAreTheCity.

Besides, she is part of the Global Future Council Member – AR/VR from World Economic Forum. This Council is the world’s foremost interdisciplinary knowledge network dedicated to promoting innovative thinking to shape a sustainable and inclusive future for all.


Aude Guo

Aude Guo is co-founder at InnovaFeed.

Sift  has chosen her as one of the European entrepreneurs to watch this year.

The green idea of Aude is a biotech company that produces a new source of protein from insect rearing (Hermetia illucens) for animal feed and aquaculture.


Lubomila Jordanova

Lubomila Jordanova is Co-Founder & CEO of PlanA.Earth and Co-Founder of Greentech Alliance.

She developed the first Carbon Reduction Software which helps businesses calculate, monitor and reduce their carbon footprint monthly.

By employing her software, companies can make strategic decisions in the long term to reduce their carbon footprint.
